a) Each tournament is scheduled to have 11 rounds but this may be changed with the Girls Tournaments depending on entries. If there are 14 or less players, the tournament will be a 7 round Swiss; if there are between 14 and 18 players, it will be a 9 round Swiss and anything more than 18 players, the tournament will be run as an 11 round Swiss.

b) A double round is cheduled for the 3rd day - before the rest day.

c) Two Novice events will be held over 4 days in the middle of the tournament - these are to give players who feel they are not strong enough or do not have the time to play in the major events a chance to play alongside and be part of a serious tournament. These will be played at a time rate of 30 minutes per player for the whole game - and there will be two games per afternoon - the first at 1pm and the second at 2.15pm - the players will leave the Hall as soon as they finish their first game and reassemble at 2.15pm
