Interschool Matches

The exact details for this year interschool matches have still to be finalised - the availability of venues and Directors of Play etc - but team registrations will start in early March with all the Interschool Matches starting in the second week of Second Term. I will send out an email reminder of when to register. The more teams and students and schools who take part the better, so if your school has played before, please do so again with even more teams - and if you are a new school and a bit unsure of what's involved, please give me a ring and I am sure you will find process of entering teams etc very simple.

Other events

As well as the normal State and City of Adelaide Junior Championships scheduled through the year, there are many events held by the SA Chess Association that are very suitable for youngsters, such as the adult Interclub Matches which start on Tuesday in late April and the Freytag Checkmate Weekend Tournament in early July.

The Dates for the Parkside Competition played on Tuesdays are as follows: Rd 1 Tues May 5th Rd 2 Tues 19th Rd 3 June 2ndRd 4 June 26 but we are hoping that the June 26th can be teams playing each other at their own school as Nan will be abroad!)Rd 5 July 21st, Rd 6 Aug 4th Rd 7 Aug 18thIf the June match doesn’t work we can do a catch up match on 25th August
